PAN i.e. Permanent Account Number is a permanent identification number, unique in itself and issued to taxpayers for their identification purpose. There are mainly two types of PAN. They are:
Personal PAN
Business PAN
Procedure for PAN Registration in Nepal
- First of all, Open the website of the Inland Revenue Department. Click here.
- Find and click on the following tabs sequentially:
- ‘Services’ tab.
- ‘Tax-Payer Portal’ tab.
- Under ‘Online E-services’ section, ‘Registration (PAN, VAT, EXCISE)’ tab.
- ‘Application for Registration’ tab.
- Fill up the registration form that appears on your screen with the asked information.
- Again, Find and click on the following tabs sequentially:
- In ‘Verifying Offices’ section, find and select the IRD office of your nearest location.
- Click on the ‘OK’. You will receive a submission number. Note down the submission number.
- Click on ‘Continue’ tab.
- Fill the PAN application e-form that appears on your screen in the Nepali Unicode. Also, you’re asked to upload your photo and other required documents.
- Again, Find and click on the following tabs sequentially:
- ‘Save’ tab.
- ‘Submit’ tab.
- ‘Print’ tab.
- The submitted PAN application will be printed out.
- Go to the IRD office of your nearest location along with the printed PAN application form and other necessary documents.
- The IRD Office will issue the PAN card to you.
